Although it may seem like the winter season just ended, our summer season begins in about two weeks! While it was an excellent winter for snow, and made for terrific skiing, the hope is now for warm weather to have the golf course ready for the June 15th scheduled opening. Great news on the golf front is the arrival of the new, top of the line ‘Club Car’ golf carts. One of the special features of these carts is the ability to do thirty-six holes without recharging the batteries, a great advantage on busy play days.
Louise Astbury who served as the Club’s Member Services Director for the past three and a half years has chosen to start her own event planning business in Big Sky. Louise will be missed, but we wish her the best in the new venture. I am sure she will be an asset to the community just as she was for Spanish Peaks. We are moving forward with the search to find a replacement for Louise and anticipate a mid-June start date for the Director.
The Summer Calendar is loaded with entertaining and varied activities including the most anticipated weekend of the season, Summerfest August 5th -7th. Early reservations are welcome; your club offers stellar, fully furnished accommodations in our cabins and clubhouse that are perfect for the whole family.
In addition, we have secured noted Sonoma County Pinot Noir vintner Mark Ketcham from Ketcham Estates for a winemaker dinner on Saturday, July 9th. July and August hold a number of adventure-packed Kids Camps. Now is the time to make your reservations and detailed travel plans for the exciting activities on tap for this summer.
The Spanish Peaks staff is extending their best efforts, focusing on readying the Club for the June 15th opening. We look forward to seeing you this summer!
